Key Purpose

This position will be responsible for the service delivered by the HP relationship team of the Service Team, specifically the service delivered by the HP SAMs, AMs, PSMs, and Technical Specialist.
The key purpose of this role is to play an integral part in developing strong and positive relationships with our Health Professionals.
Implementation and delivery of service and initiatives that will provide the Health Professional with an escalated and specialised touch, whenever they interact with Discovery.

Key Outputs
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

Be accountable and responsible for the effective and efficient running of the HP team.
Ability to gather and analyse relevant information
Overseeing and providing critical input into territory specific strategies and action plans.
Measure, track and report on performance of the HP team, recognizing and managing risk and potential threats including impact assessment and root cause analysis when providing solutions to address problem areas and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Managing the implementation of projects including cost saving initiatives to achieve defined objectives and to provide reports on the progress, impact and sentiment.
Monitoring and analysing performance of projects that have been implemented as well as issue identification and robust resolution in supporting the environment
Identifying opportunities that will enhance the service delivery to Health Professional and Practice Managers
Maintaining and growing uptake of various networks and payment arrangements within region and taking ownership of escalated HP matters.
Ensuring optimal performance of the HP team.

Qualifications & Experience

Matric
Account Management/Service Experience
Knowledge of healthcare legislation and industry
Discovery Health Processes (Operations, Claims, Medical Review Team, Exgratia, Chronic Illness Benefit, Cost Adjustments, Error Correction)
Advantageous

Tertiary Business Qualification (Degree or Diploma)
Service Operations (1 – 2 years)
All Discovery Health Product and Benefit Knowledge (2 years)
Medical Scheme Industry Knowledge
